The City will pay for the project costs up front and request reimbursement from the State upon completion of the project.

Anticipated Project Cost: $175,000
Anticipated Cost covered by the State (80%): $140,000
Anticipated Cost to the City (10%): $17,500
Anticipated Cost to the County (10%): $17,500
Actual costs will be determined by the actual costs incurred during the project.

CT coordinated with the contractor on Della Way to depress the curb at the future sidewalk locations to allow for a future curb ramp at these locations. The roadway has been built except for the final surface layer of asphalt, which will be placed after the homes have been built. CT has updated the field survey to reflect the addition of this new road.
The environmental review by KYTC has been complete and the plans have been approved on that end of things. Once the final clearance letter has been received we can begin the easement acquisition process. All easements are temporary construction easements. CT is currently in the process of obtaining proposals from appraisers and negotiators to perform the necessary steps for easement acquisition. Consultants for both parts of the easement process must be on the State’s pre-qualified list.

The tree in the side yard of 201 Applewood has been removed. The stump and some leftover wood remains on the property. Dave Schrand is coordinating to the have the stump and remaining wood removed. Stump removal will require Duke to come out and temporarily remove and reset the pole anchor line that is close to the stump.
The location of the sidewalk at 200-202 Applewood Drive has been revised such that no temporary easement will be necessary. All construction activities will take place entirely within the right-of-way on this property.

Tentative Schedule:
Easement Acquisition: March 1 – April 30, 2017
Bid Document Review: March 1 – March 31, 2017
Public Bid: May 2017
Construction: July 1, 2017 – October 15, 2017
