2016 Street Program Update

The 2016 Street Program will consist of:
- East Lakeside Ave.: Dixie Highway to Rock Crystal Lane
- West Lakeside Ave.: 122 West Lakeside to 106 West Lakeside
Fred A. Nemann Co. has been awarded the water main replacement work for Northern Kentucky Water District. A preconstruction meeting was held with the contractor, NKWD and representatives of the City on April 8. Water main work will begin on May 2 and Conclude on July 1.
Roadway reconstruction work was awarded to JPS Construction in the amount of $430,550.50. A preconstruction meeting will be scheduled in the coming weeks. Roadway reconstruction is anticipated to begin on July 5 and conclude on November 18, 2016. Work on West Lakeside may begin prior to July 5 depending on the Contractor’s exact schedule, which will be determined at the preconstruction meeting.
Beginning April 15, Bestway Disposal began collecting trash and recycling at an earlier time than usual in order to get in ahead of the construction crews. Bestway sent a letter to the impacted residents indicated the change. Normal collection times will resume upon completion of the roadway project.
A public meeting was held on March 29 to inform the residents of the upcoming project.
Construction Schedule:
- Water Main Construction: May 2 – July 1, 2016
- Roadway Construction: July 5 – November 18, 2016
