     New Kentucky law creates a sales tax on utility services, effective on January 1, 2023.  Unfortunately, there is quite a bit of misinformation being passed that is creating a panic among homeowners.      As I stated in my Mayor's Report at our Council Meeting on Monday, most homeowners are "grandfathered" and will not be subject to such a tax.  The main exceptions are those individuals who own multiple properties with multiple utility accounts or have their official residency somewhere else (i.e., being a Florida resident)       I share a letter received today from Duke Energy's Community Relations Manager.  Please read it an reach out to Duke Energy if you have questions about your situation.  CLIC...

Come see the holiday you trains, winter wonderland in Nature Play, and costumes and props from the iconic Christmas movie, White Christmas!  Free admission for residents of Lakeside Park and Fort Mitchell to experience.   ID will be required to verify residency at the time of entrance. DEADLINE: DECEMBER 16 Santa loves to receive letters from children! If you would like your child, grandchild or special little friend in your life to receive a letter from the North Pole, please mail letters to Santa’s Elf @, c/o Recreation Department, City of Lakeside Park, 9 Buttermilk Pike, Lakeside Park, Ky 41017. Or email to recreation@cityoflakesidepark.com with the child’s name, address, wish list, and LOTS of fun facts to make your child’s letter extra special.    

  DEADLINE: DECEMBER 19 All residents are welcome to enter. Nominate yourself and/or your neighbor!  To enter, please email recreation@cityoflakesidepark.com With homeowner’s name, address, email address and telephone number. No professionally decorated homes please. A panel of judges will be driving around Lakeside Park on Monday, December 19, 2022.  They will vote on their top 10 favorites.  Ten houses will be chosen as the winners and receive a prize. 1st,2nd, and 3rd place WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED by DECEMBER 24TH.
