Food for Fines -Ticket Amnesty Program
Posted on Tuesday, February 9, 2021
***This is a 1 time offer that is only for the Snow Emergency Declared on February 8-9, 2021!***
We all know how annoying the recent snowfall has been. The City tries to issue a snow emergency only in the event of a predicted significant snowfall. The issuance of a Snow Emergency is a coordinated effort between the Mayor, Police Chief, and the Kenton County Public Works Team (they plow the City streets.) A Declared Snow Emergency allows for the timely and efficient removal and clearing of any accumulated snow and ice. The safety of the plow drivers, emergency responders and our residents is always our top priority.
Because we understand moving vehicles may be difficult, and in light of the current economic conditions facing the entire nation, the City of Lakeside Park is offering a one (1) time snow citation amnesty program, Food for Fines. A non-perishable canned good donation of 4-5 items may be brought to the City Building during regular business hours. The items will be donated to a local charitable organization.
The Food for Fines amnesty program will be effective ONLY for the citations given during the snow emergency declared on February 8, 2021, and until it is rescinded by the Mayor. This program does not apply to any citations given/received prior to the Snow Emergency. Donations must be made within ten (10) business days of receiving the citation.
